Keys Trip 2008
For the last several years, I have been trying to talk Belinda into a quick trip to our good friends Dick and Arlene Fornell's place in Islamorada, to unwind and recharge during the winter show season. I know,I know, everyone who is reading this during the current battle with "Global Warming" this winter in the Northeast is saying "Aren't you already in Florida? What's with this I've got to get away crap?"
Ah, but Islamorada is different. The residents describe their burg as "A quaint little drinking village with a fishing problem." Blessed with some of the best bonefishing in the world, it is also famous for tarpon and many other abundant gamefish, hence it's real nickname, "The Sportfishing Capital of the World." On this trip we did not get to do any fishing, but I think she is "hooked", none the less.

Early morning is my favorite time in the Keys. Sights like this never get old.

With the sea running rough, and showers keeping us from going to far, we spent a lot of quality time with the dogs at the pool. Janni was in heaven.

Dick and Arlene's dog Cappy was an eager participant, as well.

Janni got his first ride on a boat......

...and had his first close encounter with an Iguana.

Does anyone think I'm going overboard with these dawn pictures?

This is the last one for awhile....honest.
